Pastor Matt, his wife Beth, and their three children joined JBF in January of 2012. Prior to coming to JBF Pastor Matt served in Youth Ministry for over thirteen years. Originally from Indiana, the Perez family spent five and half years in Kodiak, Alaska serving in youth ministry before coming to JBF.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from North Central College, a Juris Doctorate from DePaul Law School, and a Master’s in Biblical Studies from the Moody Bible Institute. One of Matt’s favorite verses, and his personal philosophy on ministry, comes from Ezra 7:10, “For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD, and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.”
In his personal time Pastor Matt can be found either spending time with his wife and kids, reading, riding his bike, or watching sports. You can listen to or download Matt's Sunday morning messages on our website.
Rick and his wife, Miranda, joined JBF in July of 2015. Ever since becoming a believer as a junior in high school, Rick has been actively involved in youth ministry. Though originally from Kodiak, Alaska, he has spent the last three and half years studying youth ministry and theology at Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, Washington. While there, he spent two years as the Junior High Director for a local church. He will be finishing his Bachelors of Science degree in Youth Ministry within this next year.
In his free time, Rick can often be found spending quality time with his wife, reading, biking, playing football, or studying the Word. Rick became a first time father in August of 2015.
Wendy became office administrator at the end of October 2013. Her family started attending Jesup Bible Fellowship in 2003. During her membership at JBF, she has served as children's church coordinator and was on the Christian Education Board. She resides in Jesup with her husband, Jason, two children, Zach and Marlee, and dog, Ziggy. In her free time, she likes to read, exercise, watch movies and spend time with her family.
Wendy received her bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Her areas of emphases were business management, psychology, health education, and design, family and consumer sciences.
Dan and his wife Marilyn are members at Jesup Bible Fellowship.
